[2020] Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti: Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was born on 23 January 1897. He first established the Indian Armed Forces, named Azad Hind Fauj. His “You give me blood, I will give you freedom” slogan of patriotism was strengthened in the hearts of Indians. Even today, everyone gets inspiration from this slogan.

Netaji was born in Odisha and was a brilliant student. He always had top rank in both schools and universities. In 1918 he completed his graduation first class in Philosophy.

The name of Netaji Subhas is written in golden letters in the history of Indian freedom struggle. He devoted his entire life to the country and struggled for the independence of the country until his last breath.

He was also the President of Congress. The life and death of Bose, the great hero of the history of freedom of the country, may have been considered mysterious, but his patriotism has always been unquestionable and exemplary.

1945: In World War II, Japan surrenders after a nuclear attack. A few days later Netaji was killed in an air crash. However, no direct evidence has been found regarding this.

1944: Azad Hind Fauz reached Arakan and fought near Imphal. The army took Kohima (Imphal) into his possession.

1943: He reached Japan with the help of the Navy and after reaching there, he addressed the Indians with Tokyo radio. On October 21, 1943, he founded the Azad Hind Fauj and established it in Andaman and Nicobar, where it was named ‘Shaheed and Swaraj’.

1941: On 9 April 1941, he submitted a memorandum to the German government which referred to mutual cooperation between Axis Power and India. Subhash Chandra Bose established the Swatantra Bharat Kendra and Swatantra Bharat Radio in November this year.

1941: In a dramatic development, he disappeared on 7 January 1941 and reached Germany via Afghanistan and Russia.

1940: He was placed under house arrest. Meanwhile, his health was adversely affected due to fasting.

1939: Became President of Congress once again defeating Mahatma Gandhi’s candidate Sitaramaiya. Later he established Forward Block.

1938: Was elected Congress President in Haripur session. Meanwhile, in Shantiniketan, Rabindranath Tagore honored him.

1936–37: After his release, he started publishing ‘Indian Struggle’ in Europe.

1936: On his arrival in India on 13 April 1936, he was arrested in Bombay.

1932–1936: Netaji met Mussolini in Italy, Felder in Germany, Valera in Ireland and Roma Ronand in France to pressure foreign leaders for India’s independence.

1931: On March 23, 1931, Bhagat Singh was hanged, which led to differences between Netaji and Mahatma Gandhi.

1930: He is sent to jail. He won the election of Mayor of Calcutta while in jail.

1928: He formed a voluntary organization during the Calcutta Session of the Indian Congress to give an edge to the independence movement. Netaji was elected the General Officer-in-Command of this organization.

1927: Netaji, along with Jawaharlal Nehru, was elected General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee.

1924: Swaraj Dal had a huge success in the Calcutta Municipal Election. Deshbandhu became mayor and Subhash Chandra Bose was nominated as Chief Executive Officer. The British government could not resist Subhash’s growing influence and in October the British government once again arrested him.

1923: In 1923, he was elected President of the Indian Youth Congress. Along with this, Secretary of Bengal Congress was also elected. He started editing Deshbandhu’s established magazine Forward.

1922: On 1 August 1922, he came out of jail and joined the Swaraj Dal at the Gaya Congress session led by Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das.

1921: The British arrest him.

1920: He received the prestigious degree of Cambridge University.

1920: Subhash Chandra Bose not only passed the ICS examination with the highest marks in English, but also got the fourth position.

1919: After earning first place in Philosophy Honors, left for England to take the ICS exam.

1917: Subhash Chandra joined the Philosophy Honors at Scottish Church College in 1917.

1916: He is suspended on charges of misbehavior with a British professor.

1915: In 1915, he passed the intermediate examination in the first class.
